Case Study
In February 2012, Tommy Jordan's daughter, having gotten tired and angry from doing household chores amongst other trivial matter, had blown up at her parents via a Facebook wall post. Despite having blocked her parents from her Facebook profile, Mr Jordan, being an IT expert, was still able to track down her post. Through the video below, Mr Jordan talks about what sort of behaviour is unaccepted in a young adult. In a seemlingly unrealistic stunt, he open fires on his daughter's laptop, "to remedy the problem permanently."
Below, the video on the left shows how Mr Jordan handeled the situation of seeing his daughter post unpleasant comments on Facebook. The video on the right shows how teenagers in America have mixed reactions to the incident, and their discussion on what is ethical, in addition to how the parent and child should have behaved to avoid the conflict.
